As we enjoy the last snowfalls of March, it’s ti As we enjoy the last snowfalls of March, it’s time to plan where to ski in spring! Many resorts close after the first weekend of April, but there are still great options for lift-accessed skiing.

We’ve put together a list of ski resorts that stay open through April and into Golden Week (the first week of May). While backcountry skiing remains an option beyond that in places like Tateyama, Chōkai, Fuji, Kiso, and Gassan, this list focuses on resorts where you can still ride the lifts.
