Nozawa Onsen
A charming ski resort renowned for its abundant snowfall and traditional Japanese hot spring (onsen) culture. With over 50 kilometers of slopes catering to all levels, Nozawa Onsen offers a perfect blend of modern ski facilities and historical charm, featuring quaint streets, local cuisine, and relaxing onsen experiences.
Shigakogen
Located above 1,300m up to 2,200m in the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, its Japan's largest ski area, offering a vast array of interconnected resorts and diverse terrain. With over 80 kilometers of ski runs, excellent snow quality from late November to early May, and breathtaking alpine scenery, Shigakogen provides a premier skiing and snowboarding experience for all levels.
Lotte Arai
Situated in Niigata Prefecture, is a luxury ski resort known for its deep powder snow and extensive freeride terrain. Reopened in 2017 after extensive renovations, the resort features modern facilities, including upscale accommodations, fine dining, and a relaxing spa, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountain vistas.
Suginohara
Suginohara, part of the Myoko Kogen ski area, boasts the longest ski run in Japan at 8.5 kilometers. Known for its diverse terrain and excellent powder conditions, Suginohara caters to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, offering both challenging runs and gentle slopes.
Akakura Kanko Resort
Akakura Kanko Resort, also in the Myoko Kogen area, is one of Japan's oldest ski resorts, combining rich history with modern amenities. Featuring a variety of slopes suitable for all levels, the resort is renowned for its reliable snowfall, scenic beauty, and luxurious accommodations, including the historic Akakura Kanko Hotel.
Kurohime Ski Resort
With breathtaking views over Lake Nojiri, is a family-friendly destination offering gentle slopes and a relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for beginners and families with children, Kurohime provides excellent facilities, including ski schools and rental services, set in a picturesque mountain setting.
Togakushi Ski Resort
Located in the Togakushi Mountain Range in Nagano Prefecture, is known for its stunning natural beauty and excellent groomed slopes regularly used for slalom competitions.
